| I'm attempting to run Sugar on a Stick on three computers currently: 1) my
2.7GHz Dual-Core Athlon desktop; 2) the OLPC (XO-1) which is about 700MHz,
and 3) an ASUS EEEPC900 netbook (also about 700MHz.).
I say "attempt" because SoaS cannot yet run Csound from a python script,
either from Sugar or the terminal. (Csound by itself runs fine.) I'm running
the XO-1 both from its native Sugar and from Sugar on a Stick; native mode
(which consists of Csound5.08, python2.5 and a csound-python package that
all work) is the only current way of performing my python script/Csound
activity.
I've been targeting the activity at the 700MHz XO-1 (the original focus of
my project), and figure that if it delivers consistent audio on this
machine, that will meet the needs of most "children of the world." At least,
it will satisfy me. As mentioned before, I've really had to pare down my
technical/musical expectations to accommodate these means. I'm right on the
edge, and fear that Csound double may well take me over the edge.
I'm looking forward to doing a realtime float-double test sometime on these
700MHz machines.

What CPU/computer do you run Sugar on a Stick on?
