What I'm currently doing is:
1) keep my code reasonably efficient;
2) monitor CPU usage at "full throttle";
3) make sure this usage does not approach 100% on my "average" computer;
4) check that there are no sonic "breakups".
Right now, my CPU usage with my maximum 32 voices remains below 40% with no
symptoms, and I'm a happy Csounder.
