[Csnd] A question about Cabbage

Date2008-02-15 01:51
FromDarren Landrum
Subject[Csnd] A question about Cabbage
I really wish I could make it to the Linux Audio Conference, but travel
is way out of my budget for a while. I did see on the list of
presentations, though, a talk about something called Cabbage, which is a
GUI framework for Csound. I did a Google search hunting around for more
information, and other than the LAC page itself, only turned up a couple
of message board posts. I was wondering if there might be any more
information out there on this, and that maybe Google failed me (it's
happened before).

Thank you for the help!

I wished I could go too, it is looking really good with John ffitch, Miller
Puckette, Julius Smith,
Johannes Zmoelnig and others. But I can't take the time off. I would like to
encourage anyone that can to go. It's always great fun.

And Cabbage has been developed by Rory, who is on this list (or is he away?).

Subject[Csnd] Re: A question about Cabbage
Cabbage is a new framework for the development of cross-platform
standalone Csound applications. It provides Csound users with the tools
to develop nice front-ends for their instruments without having to be
experienced programmers. It's still under development but it's almost
ready for the first release. I hope to have it out there before the LAC.

Rory.

Sorry, I might be off, as I did not read all of this thread,
but it looks like you get an error because ain1 and ain2 are not defined.
You only have one input, so you should be ok with one samphold, using
ain as input:

ain inch 2
agate mpulse 1, "kdecfct"
asig1 samphold ain, agate
outs asig1, asig1

This will give you a "downsampler" not a bit crusher.

Sorry if I misunderstood the problem(?)
