Subject[Csnd] Csound at school
Hi,

In December I had some test sessions with a project I had long in mind - to
take some interactive in normal music lessons to make normal students play and
listen and think more about sound.

There is a description (and embedded vimeo video) up on:
http://tarmo.uuu.ee/android/kool/description.html

Basically students play on android devices that communicates with computer
running csound. There are three parts in the lesson - game "Csound drums" for
introduction, then a small lection about sound, harmonics and how they
influence the colour of the sound and then every player gets one harmonic to
control and I will play along wiht the flute to make music together.

It was fun!

Thank you all very much for encouragement and compliments!

I will do some more tryout and hope to reach many schools in Estonia with this
project. There is so much potential in similar solutions how to get youngters
to be active in makeing music and listening.

best!
