I hope that you will be pleased to discover some chapters on the revised DVD chapter

Good to know. While you're in learning mode, there are other useful
resources. Tons of examples are bundled in CsoundQt -- including the
examples from the online Floss manual. (I'm not even going to mention my
book, because it's for beginners, and I'm assuming you're past that point.)

I downloaded the DVD .zip again. This time, Windows started unzipping it, but
in the middle of the process my Avast anti-virus thought it detected a
threat, a file called timpp2113q.exe. Avast aborted the unzipping process.
My search engine turns up no information whatever about this file. Perhaps
someone who can unzip the folder could search for it and see if it's
actually in there somewhere. Avast may be wrong ... or not.

SubjectRe: [Csnd] Re: The Csound Book CD-ROMs
I downloaded and unzipped both archives successfully on my Windows 7 machine, however, I needed to take a few extra steps to get it all to work. For the original 2000 .zip file, I first unzipped to the root of my data drive (D:\ drive in Windows terminology). There were then two additional zip files, one for the .HTML, one for the data. Because of very long path lengths, I could only get these two archives to unzip without error by copying them, in turn, to the root drive. They then both unzipped successfully. The 2011 file also unzipped at the root directory. There were a few errors regarding corrupt PDF files but otherwise seemed to work fine.
