I am trying to pass data from UIPangestureRecognizer to Csound, I have it
done but it is totally inefficient.

Just my 2 cents, as I'm unfamiliar with the UIPangestureRecognizer,
but could you try to run your program without sending anything to
Csound, to see if it still uses a lot of CPU,
just to test if that is really where the problem is. (?)
