[Csnd] output of partials to table

Subject[Csnd] output of partials to table
Hello [Victor!],

Is there any chance that we could have an opcode to write the output of the 'partials' opcode into tables? Basically the TRACK formatted version of 'pvsftw'. I would like to try the spectral panning stuff with 'partials' to avoid FFT artefacts.

Thanks

this would be awesome and useful/insightful too.

Hello,

and if not an opcode, how can one read and the data from from the stream of opcode partials? Let's say, I want to print out the requencies of the partials.

greetings,

tarmo

Yes, same here. I would like to have access to lists of: partial number, freq, amp, phase. And be able to modify the data and write it back to pvs stream for resynthesis.

Best,

I will add this to a todo list. Because Csound 6 is a priority, this will not be done immediately.

Yes of course, there is no rush. I'll think about the best way of doing this in terms of usefulness to different tasks as I understand it's rather complicated because it is all happening in real time.

Another thing is that I am getting lots of discontinuities in the output when the partials terminate too quickly (with higher threshold values). Maybe some sort of smoothing would be great.

Thanks
