Subject[Csnd] alsaseq
Casually glancing at the code, I realised there is an alsaseq midi interface (rtmidi=alsaseq) in addition to the usual raw alsa midi. Has anyone ever used it?

Looks like Tito's work from 2012. Nice.

Yes i am using the alsa sequencer - but i don't know why.
I was setting up Jack and choosing this MIDI driver. And Csound worked with
it.

The section in the manual
file:///media/ManualUSB/manual-git/html/UsingRealTime.html#RealTimeLinux
must be updated, because there is talk that "Csound does not automatically
create its own ALSA sequencer port. It creates an ALSA raw midi port each
time it runs.".
I do not know so much about the differences and why the MIDI sequencer is
better, perhaps someone can produce sensible text?

yes, that used to be the case, but Tito Latini added an alsaseq module last year, so that needs to be explored in the manual.
I don't know too much more about this either.
