Subject[Csnd] OT - Completion of a New Project
Greetings fellow Csounders,

Just a quick note to let you all know I have just finished a new musical
project that, as usual, makes extensive use of Csound. The title is
"Hadronized Spectra (The LHC Sonifications)". As the name implies,
employing parameter mapping sonification, all score material for the
project was derived from data generated by photon collision events that
occurred within the Atlas Detector at the Large Hadron Collider. To hear
the entire project, nine tracks totaling around 55 minutes of music, go
to my (all new) web site and drill down from the Music tab to the
Discography/MP3s link and then click on the CD or DVD case pic at the
top of the page. That will take you to a page dedicated to the project.

I have been working on this project off and on for almost two years...
It was a challenge every step of the way. Many thanks to Dr. Lily Asquith!!

As always I love to hear any comments.

Be well,

Michael

Oops sorry please substitute proton for photon in the message I sent
earlier...

Thanks again...

Excellent work, Michael ! Add me to the praise group. :)

I'll look into your descriptive materials asap. Many captivating
beautiful things going on in that 55 minutes, I'd like to know more
about how you made it happen.

Best,

dp

Thank you so much Dave. Glad to answer any questions that anyone might have.

The best short description of my process would be: Musique Concrete with
a computer synthesized form... in this case aided by parameter mapping
sonification of the LHC data.
