[Csnd] csoundQT 0.7.0 OSX bug

Subject[Csnd] csoundQT 0.7.0 OSX bug
I've noticed a little bug there following these steps:

1- open CsoundQT
2- add a slider to the canvas

Result: empty canvas.

But then sometimes it works after opening some examples and fiddling with them. Something's not right!

Thanks
Peiman

Hi Peiman,

This is a known bug, which has been fixed. I've posted a new 0.7.1 OS
X binary up in sourceforge, but will wait for a little feedback before
announcing it.

Cheers,
Andrés

I was able to reproduce this. The examples, in that respect, seem to work for
me so far. For me it does this with everything in a project with little code
besides the default tags.

Hi Andres,

I'll test the new binary and let you know if there are any issues.

I just tried the new 0.7.1 binary. After adding the first widget: empty canvas. After adding the third widget something strange happens (see screenshot attached). It's as if the size of the canvas is not set properly.

Also I have a request please. Could CsoundQT automatically adjust the size of the canvas so that all the widgets are visible? Of course this would only make sense when the widget window is floating.

Thanks

Hi Peiman,

Should be fixed now in 0.7.2. I don't think automatically resizing to
the widgets is a good idea, as it might have problems with smaller
screens and lower resolutions and someone might wnat to use only a
particular set of widgets from an interface at particular times.

But this new release does remember the sizes and positions of the
widget panel correctly so if you set the size to encompass all the
widgets, it will be like that when you come back.

Cheers,
Andrés

We should give this a few more days of testing, but it would be awesome if it could be the version that was included with the latest OSX installer.  Is that possible Steven?

Hi Dr. B,

It'd be no problem, I'm just waiting until things are clear. I can
re-release the 5.19.02 build for Mac.

Andres, just let me know when things are good to go.

Thanks!
