Thanks Dave this inspired me to have a serious look at Grace/Common Music. menno Dave Phillips wrote: > > Greetings, > > Someone asked when Part 2 was on-line: > > http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/algorithmic-music-composition-linux-part-2 > > This Part completes the profile of the CM/Grace system. > > Part 1 still here: > > http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/algorithmic-music-composition-linux-part-1 > > Best, > > dp > > > > Send bugs reports to the Sourceforge bug tracker > https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=81968&atid=564599 > Discussions of bugs and features can be posted here > To unsubscribe, send email sympa@lists.bath.ac.uk with body "unsubscribe > csound" > > > |

Btw, CM/Grace includes some neat spectral composition facilities, including the ability to load analysis files created by the SPEAR program. Alas, SPEAR is not available in a native Linux version, but it runs perfectly under recent versions of Wine. http://www.klingbeil.com/spear/ Best, dp Send bugs reports to the Sourceforge bug tracker https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=81968&atid=564599 Discussions of bugs and features can be posted here To unsubscribe, send email sympa@lists.bath.ac.uk with body "unsubscribe csound" |

Is SPEAR free software/open source? I think it is really nice. Until then we have Praat. (Others with the same features?) 2010/6/26 menno |
