[Csnd] Python versions, manual request

Sorry if this is redundant, I couldn't find it searching the list or
Version Notes.
Victor told me what Python versions are necessary on OSX, but building
5.11.1 on Linux, I get errors importing csnd in Python 2.5. Is 2.6 now
standard?

Also, I've never been able to compile the documentation, for some
reason, no matter how many tex packages I install. I've always relied
on the kindness of strangers to put the manual together for me. Anyone
up to putting the 5.11 manual on Sourceforge?

Thanks a lot, and thanks for the continued amazing work!
Did you guys ever know that you're my heroes?

As Mike explained elsewhere, csound can be built for any (single)
version of python. In fact, the debian version is built against 2.5.
However, I had to patch it a bit to get it working. You may want to
check out which patches you need at [1]. All patches should have a
description, so hopefully you can deduce which ones are useful for you.

And I'd like to echo the request for a 5.11 manual (source) so I can
update the debian version.

Did you see the readme on the manual root directory? You don't need
tex, but docbook. All the needed packages are in Debian, so you should
be able to build it without problem.
I hope to put the src for the manual up some time soon.

Cheers,
Andres
