Hello All, may i ask what the parameters (phase) lock in PVS means? i.e. in mincer, but i guess is the same for all the PVS opcodes. Please in understandable way for a simple man:) Thanks, ciao, francesco. -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/pvs-lock-tp5717631.html Sent from the Csound - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

| Hi Francesco, In mincer the parameter locks the phases of the FFT bins. In effect it will preserve the transients in your sound and give you a less smeared time stretch or pitch transposition. P

Thank You, understood; so, generally, for simple use, should be better to use it, right? ciao, francesco. -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/pvs-lock-tp5717631p5717633.html Sent from the Csound - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

| It depends on what you want to achieve. I find that not using it works well for sustained sounds and sometime you can use phase artefacts in interesting ways. But if you want to achieve a more 'realistic' transposition or time stretch then it is better to use it. Best, P On 3 November 2012 12:14, francesco <ilterzouomo@fastwebnet.it> wrote: Thank You, |
