Thanks! I do agree it would be better if there were surrounding quotes. 
Obviously with quotes absent I assumed that csound was not attempting to 
print a path.

BTW, of course I know how to find the error by selectively modifying my 
code, which I have already done. But it's always a help to know more about 
what Csound's complaint is.
