	This is indeed very sad news. I have a lot of respect and admiration for Lou. One of the things I really wanted to do at the upcoming Csound Conference was to have a long chat with him. I'm sad that I'll never get the opportunity to do so, and I will certainly miss his presence here. A real inspiration. 	I'm privileged to have known Lou, having played sets in several shows where he was also playing, as well as having participated in the Opensound series in Cambridge, MA that he curated along with Lou Bunk. 	Lou and I were friends with many common interests. I was always excited and inspired when I got to hang with him and speak with him. (He studied with John Cage and Morton Feldman!) He was always creating brilliant educational materials, inspiring Csound pieces, and wonderful performance opportunities for all of us around Boston. He freely shared his inspiring work with so many of my students and colleagues - with all of us. (He sampled his hand-build clavichord for OLPC!) We are planning a memorial event in his honor that will take place during The Csound Conference this October on which some of his Csound music will be featured. If we listen carefully, I am sure we will be able to tune in to some of his "suggestions" and "recommendations" for Csound6 and beyond.... He will be greatly missed at the conference and on the list, but he will for sure be there in spirit. - Dr.B.
