hi, is it still true, that clang from latest Xcode on 10.8.4 can't use OpenMP? I don't know, I built csound6 from git using cmake. I'm using my 5.1.csd for listening iTunes (everything from Bach to Cage to Xenakis), and e.g mail activity or opening chrome gives sometimes dropouts. (my Mini is only 2 GHz core2duo) and it's quite demanding running iTunes, soundflower and csound same time + all the other processes. Cpu is about 11% user, so not that much. tnx -matti

I would have thought OSX would place Csound and itunes in separate CPUs. By the way, have you tried using JackOSX instead of soundflower?
