Is it possible to read and write .txt files with fini/fouti using csound-iOS? J |

would readfi and fprints be better for this purpose? j Am 26.08.2013 15:57, schrieb Jason Timm: > Is it possible to read and write .txt files with fini/fouti using csound-iOS? > > J > > Send bugs reports to the Sourceforge bug trackers > csound6: > https://sourceforge.net/p/csound/tickets/ > csound5: > https://sourceforge.net/p/csound/bugs/ > Discussions of bugs and features can be posted here > To unsubscribe, send email sympa@lists.bath.ac.uk with body "unsubscribe csound" > > > |

Maybe. I'm just reading/writing presets as lines of floats from an array. Just adding the .txt file to my project doesn't seem to be enough for fiopen to be able to find it. I'm getting EXC_BAD_ACCESS in flockfile. I think that means it can't be found. The only similar example I've seen in Examples.xcodeproj is passing a sound file string through a score event. Maybe I need to figure a way to use fables instead.? J On Aug 26, 2013, at 10:06 AM, joachim heintz |

Hi Jason, Are you giving a specific path in which to write the file, or just a filename? I'm wondering if we should have a variable automatically set by CsoundObj, something which could then be read by CSD's. Something like: Sdir chnget "ios.file.dir" That could be set to the file directory where users can transfer files to/from iOS through iTunes. Thoughts? steven On Mon, Aug 26, 2013 at 10:39 AM, Jason Timm |

I think it might be useful having some internal variables passed to csound as channels, but I think its important to make sure we namespace them to avoid conflicts, and for clarity. Some ideas: - Adding '__' before and after the name- Allowing nested namespaces: "ios.file.dir" Cheers, Andrés On Tue, Aug 27, 2013 at 9:03 AM, Steven Yi <stevenyi@gmail.com> wrote: Hi Jason, |
