I read through the article and it seems the junk installers are
something that's offered to enable and not on by default. I think
these kinds of installers are pretty horrible though. I've been
thinking Sourceforge hasn't been keeping up with github and bitbucket.
Moving the sourcecode repo is not so bad, and moving the tickets is
possible with some scripts I believe. However, maintaining the
history of releases and having forums is something that I didn't see
as easy things to migrate to other systems. Other systems don't have
as convenient a system for file releases either, IMO.

Just in terms of capabilities, migrating seems like it'd have a fair
share of both plusses and minuses. I don't think I mind if Csound
stays at SF, but I wouldn't mind for it move elsewhere either.

Hi,

I think if this is an option that projects choose to turn on, it's OK, and we should stay. If it's something that is just turned on by them, and they could turn it on for Csound without our knowledge, I think we should seriously consider moving, however It's not clear to me whether there is an opt-in option for that.

Cheers,
Andrés
