I'm thinking about byuing a laptop to make csound performances.
What are hardware requirements for acceptable (or good) real-time performance? Anton |

These days most computers are fast enough. Of course the faster the better. It's critical that audio input and output happen without interruptions by other processes. It's partly design of the system and partly configuration. I wish I could give you specific brand and models but I don't do enough of this myself. Talk to people who do. Hi,
My experience - when you look at the graphics cards - it makes more sense to take one with more simple and integrted graphics card than some powerful one meant for game players - more powerful GPU needs more cooling and your laptop will be noisier that you probably don't want.
best! tarmo
