[Csnd] maxmsp-based GUI for partikkel

Dear all, I have made a maxmsp interface for Partikkel, with every parameter available to the user and fully automatable. Morphing between presets is also possible. Feel free to download and use the application (it is a standalone so maxmsp is not required unless you want to look at the source patch). I have made this primarily for my own work so there may be some esoteric fiddly elements! Nevertheless, comments are welcome. http://idisk.mac.com/peimankh/Public/Partikkel.zip Best, Peiman |

Forgot to mention. This standalone is osx only. But the patch should
run on a window's computer with maxmps installed. P On 14/04/2011 22:42, peiman khosravi wrote:

Thanks for sharing this, Peiman. It works nicely as a patch here on windows. The only thing I could not get working (I think) is the automation window, perhaps because I did not understand what was supposed to happen there ... The help patch could perhaps be a bit more specific towards the max gui elements? For some users, maybe routing of midi note data to (either/or/both) grain rate or grain pitch might be desired. Thanks for the effort. Good work. Oeyvind 2011/4/14 peiman khosravi |

Thanks for trying it out Oeyvind. The automation window should look a bit like a cecilia graph (and functions more or less in the same way) - picture attached. I forgot to mention that to use the patch (rather than the standalone) you need a couple of externals in addition to csound~. I use ej.function for the automation http://www.e--j.com/?page_id=42 It is much better than the inbuilt function object. And less important are these: CNMAT -> randdist http://cnmat.berkeley.edu/patch/4023 jasch -> 180wrap http://www.maxobjects.com/?v=objects&id_objet=781&PHPSESSID=704e0a914a071c2a9455710f706fb5b5 Yes I need to add better documentation in the patch to explain what's going on. And good idea about the midi in. I should also add a midi learn feature for controlling the faders externally. I'd do the automation in live but unfortunately live does not support multichannel (i.e. 6-8 channels). Not sure how cycling74 people can think that maxforlive is a good replacement of pluggo with no support for multichannel. Thanks again. Peiman, I am trying to get the max patch to check out your work, and the link from your mail is directed to an mp3. Is this intentional? Thanks, John Clements On Fri, Apr 15, 2011 at 6:50 AM, peiman khosravi <peimankhosravi@gmail.com> wrote:

Please try this one. http://idisk.mac.com/peimankh/Public/Partikkel.zip I had copied and pasted the link and changed the file name by hand but the old link is still embedded in the email. Sorry about that. Best, Peiman On 15 April 2011 14:30, John Clements |

Here is a much improved version with bug fixes and some SC3-like pattern generators (see inside the [generator]). http://idisk.mac.com/peimankh/Public/Partikkel.zip Peiman On 15/04/2011 16:43, John Clements wrote: > Thank you, Peiman!
