[Csnd] Nooo, not again (( libwiiuse

Date2009-09-28 00:13

Subject[Csnd] Nooo, not again (( libwiiuse
I get the following error when i try to launch csound 5.11:

/usr/local/bin/bin/csound: error while loading shared libraries: libwiiuse.so:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I installed csound 5.11f32 from sourceforge on Debian

I had similar problems installing csound earlier, but it was missing libasound
(or something), that was solved by reinstalling alsa.

But I what could be the cause now?

Move libwiiuse.so out of the OPCODEDIR and you should be
fine. It's probably looking for the wii libs and it can't find it.

I probebly forgot to include libwiiuse in the additional libraries. It
can be found at
http://wiiuse.net/
http://wiiuse.sourceforge.net/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/wiiuse/

Will adjust the packaging

Thanks. That resolved libwiiuse issue.

But there are more:

- libcsound.so.5.2 could not be found after resolving the "wiiuse issue",
luckily libcsound.so.5.2 was found in the distrib's lib dir, so it was not
actually a serious problem (if not mention that it should be considered as
installer problem i suppose), but after that

- libmpadec.so could not be found as well. And it is not in the package (nor
in the d64 version), so i'm stuck again.

But that libcsound.so.5.2 is probably the wrong version!

That is rather the same. Can me found on Sourceforge
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mpadec/

I guess I could include both these in the installer -- I suspect that I
need to rework the installer

through cvs? how to do it?

i still not get used to sourceforge -- there are no files released in this
project

taking into account what Victor said a bit earlier in the thread, i think what
is needed is a sort of repackaging, including a dependencies checking and
maintaining a proper consistency of csound package.

ZY. (that's "Post Scriptum" on russian keyboard)

I wish i could take part in such process, but my skills are pretty awful for
that.

On the other hand, seems that i'm the only human having such problems. So i
can not seriously give some reasonable advice on what to do.

in http://codemist.co.uk/jpff/32/libmpadec.a and
http://codemist.co.uk/jpff/32libmpadec.so
there are 32bit versions of the libraries; copy to /usr/local/lib

64bit versions will follow when I turn on the other machine
