[Csnd] music to csound synth code?

Subject[Csnd] music to csound synth code?
Hi.

I am looking for programs which take input from a music cd,
and generate ccode for csound or any other music language,
to play output that sounds like the original music,
using a music language or other synth.

For example,
I want to input Electronic sounds, by George Harrison,
composed on a Moog,
and generate computer code to reproduce it on a digital synth.
Please advise, and point me to where else I might ask such questions.

Please answer in plain text, not mime attached html.

Thanks much again as always.
Jim

The closest thing you can get is Rosegarden on linux. With that you
could take midi files of a song and generate a csound score from it. I
don't know of anything that would do it from cd, but if you can find
midi files of the songs you could convert those. Or even just use the
midi as the score source in your csd without converting it, but with
Rosegarden you have the flexibility of being able to add in extra
parameters to each instrument field in the score, while with a midi
driven score you can't send any extra p fields from midi unless
there's control information in the midi file sending cc commands to
your orchestra.

Hi,

Csound can also receive MIDI files directly (I think it's with the -F
flag), but if you want to take audio directly, you would need to do
pitch tracking and other things to follow the original audio
(polyphony is tricker...)

Cheers,
Andrés

This is issue seems to be mostly related to MRI research.
