[Csnd] Translations

Subject[Csnd] Translations
i realise that not everyone cares about this, but currently we have
translations of the Csound messages into
             English
             American
             Columbian Spanish
             French
and initial attempts into
             German
             Italian
             Romanian
             Russian

As the number of operations increases and improvements are made these
translations become less accurate, or even misleading.

Anyone who knows me will know that I am linguistically challenged,
Latin and many computer languages are all I have ever learnt (school
failed to teach me French in seven years) so I am not really the
correct person to maintain these. I can just about manage
American...

So again I am asking for either managers for each language, or failing
that reviewers who can correct and do a few new translations into any
of the above languages, or indeed other languages here we have
potential or actual users.

I can provide more detailed "instructions", but it is not very hard
(if you know a language) but rather a large collection of simple
translation tasks, English into XXXish.

If anyone is willing, contact me either on or off list and I can
provide instructions, advice, access, encouragement, whatever.

I would be delighted if at least some of these languages were
verified for the January release.

==John ffitch
