I recently found a solution to this issue, which is to route
pulseaudio through jack. I added the necessary lines to Qjackctl's
configuration (jack startup script text box), so pulseaudio
automatically routes through jack whenever jack starts. It was also
mentioned that jack2 does this automatically.
You need to run:
pactl load-module module-jack-sink & pactl load-module module-jack-source
If you're not using pulseaudio, I think there is no solution... (maybe
routing an alsa plugin through jack, but this might be an urban
myth...)
