[Csnd] question about "hard sync"

Subject[Csnd] question about "hard sync"
Dear community,
I have a question about the article of Synthesizing Acoustic Pianos On The Roland JX10, of the secrets of synthesis series.
The author writes there about "hard-sync".
Is this similar to what can be done with the syncphasor opcode?

Just an aside, Hans Mikelson wrote an article on Hard Sync:

Also, I did a quick search and syncphasor was designed for hard sync.
There's an email from Anthony Kozar with examples:

Merely a tangential response here: I owned an MKS70, the box version of the JX10. Wonderful synthesizer. I had the external programmer too. Great fun.

Best,

That one, being implemented digitally is likely to have aliasing
artifacts that would not occur in an analogue oscillator with
hard sync.
