Subject[Csnd] 64bit double precision with QtCsound?
Dear list,

I'd like to render some of my older pieces with 64bit double
precision, but I do not know how to tell QtCsound to use the Csound64
version. I obviously have the Csound64-version installed, as I can use
it with blue. If it was possible also with QtCsound: would I have to
specify another opcode-directory if I do use Csound64?

I am working on Mac OSX 10.5.8, Csound 5.14

All the best,

Jan Jacob

Hi Jan,

There is no option inside the software that will allow this, as this
is not exactly a configuration option, but it requires that the
software is compiled against one of the other version of Csound. I
currently don't distribute versions for 64bit presicion, but I suspect
Michael might be distributing them, so if you are on Windows, you can
check the about box of CsoundQt and it will tell you what version it
is compiled for.

I plan to move to support only double presicion for the next release.

Cheers,
Andrés

The current Windows installer is for 64 bit samples. It includes
Csound for 64 bit samples, CsoundQt, and CsoundQt-py, all for 64 bit
samples.

Mike
