In the button bar at the top of the QuteCsound interface is a big red Record
button. It doesn't seem to do anything, other than press the Run button
automatically.

Is this button intended for a future update? Are there circumstances in
which it does something now? I'm working on some documentation, and I'd like
to know. Thanks!

On OSX, it writes to a file in the same directory as the CSD.

The Record button works as you describe in MacOS. In Windows (running QTCS
0.6.0) the Record button seems not to work at all, other than to duplicate
the Run button. It doesn't record a file to the location of the .csd file,
at any rate, nor to the default recording directory.

Is this a bug, or has that feature just not been implemented in the Windows
version?

i don't know about windows, but i experienced sometimes that i had to
press the button twice to get the record working.
