I am not at home, but i remember, i have recorded something successfully in linux with qcs 0.6.0 but with the git version it did not work either. But maybe it depends somehow on something else, like wether you are using portaudio or not. I cannot test now, but perhaps someone can or copy the message to qcs mailing list.
