i wanted to install csound today on a linux machine with open suse, from the repository. there were two fantastic experiences: 1) the csound version was brand new (5.18.02) 2) the installation went out of the box - wow! unfortunately i saw that this csound version did not contain the OSC opcodes. as i installed csound to work with OSC, i could not use it at all. so my questions are: - is it by intention that the OSC opcodes are not included? - is it possible to change this in future versions? thanks - joachim |

Would that be in a separate package (csound-osc or something)? i do not think so. there were two packages, csound and csound-devel, and we installed both. liblo is installed, too. Tjis is a suprise. SuSE have been way late with csound and I had offered to create the rpm for them, with little takeup. Which is why I create my own .rpm files on sourceforge ==John ff > i do not think so. there were two packages, csound and csound-devel, and > we installed both. liblo is installed, too. > > > Am 01.01.2013 22:38, schrieb Victor Lazzarini: >> Would that be in a separate package (csound-osc or something)? >> On 1 Jan 2013, at 21:31, joachim heintz wrote: >> >>> i wanted to install csound today on a linux machine with open suse, >>> from the repository. there were two fantastic experiences: >>> 1) the csound version was brand new (5.18.02) >>> 2) the installation went out of the box - wow! >>> >>> unfortunately i saw that this csound version did not contain the OSC >>> opcodes. as i installed csound to work with OSC, i could not use it at >>> all. >>> >>> so my questions are: >>> - is it by intention that the OSC opcodes are not included? >>> - is it possible to change this in future versions? >>> >>> thanks - >>> >>> joachim >>> >>> >>> Send bugs reports to the Sourceforge bug tracker >>> https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=81968&atid=564599 >>> Discussions of bugs and features can be posted here >>> To unsubscribe, send email sympa@lists.bath.ac.uk with body >>> "unsubscribe csound" >>> >> >> Dr Victor Lazzarini >> Senior Lecturer >> Dept. of Music >> NUI Maynooth Ireland >> tel.: +353 1 708 3545 >> Victor dot Lazzarini AT nuim dot ie >> >> >> >> >> >> Send bugs reports to the Sourceforge bug tracker >> https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=81968&atid=564599 >> Discussions of bugs and features can be posted here >> To unsubscribe, send email sympa@lists.bath.ac.uk with body "unsubscribe >> csound" >> >> > > > Send bugs reports to the Sourceforge bug tracker > https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=81968&atid=564599 > Discussions of bugs and features can be posted here > To unsubscribe, send email sympa@lists.bath.ac.uk with body "unsubscribe > csound" > > > > |

Hi, As a workaround, you should be able to copy the plugin from the installation for another platform provided that you match architecture and floats/double versions. Cheers, On Jan 1, 2013 1:32 PM, "joachim heintz" <jh@joachimheintz.de> wrote:
