[Csnd] open suse csound: OSC opcodes

Subject[Csnd] open suse csound: OSC opcodes
i wanted to install csound today on a linux machine with open suse, from
the repository. there were two fantastic experiences:
1) the csound version was brand new (5.18.02)
2) the installation went out of the box - wow!

unfortunately i saw that this csound version did not contain the OSC
opcodes. as i installed csound to work with OSC, i could not use it at all.

so my questions are:
- is it by intention that the OSC opcodes are not included?
- is it possible to change this in future versions?

thanks -

	joachim

Would that be in a separate package (csound-osc or something)?

i do not think so. there were two packages, csound and csound-devel, and
we installed both. liblo is installed, too.

Tjis is a suprise. SuSE have been way late with csound and I had offered
to create the rpm for them, with little takeup. Which is why I create my
own .rpm files on sourceforge

Hi,

As a workaround, you should be able to copy the plugin from the installation for another platform provided that you match architecture and floats/double versions.

Cheers,
Andres
