[Csnd] dssi4cs woes

Subject[Csnd] dssi4cs woes
Hello everyone!
I'm just testing dssi4cs some more and have woes over woes. Mostly, csound
just segfaulting on me- admittedly it's tidying up after itself -, but that
doesn't get me any sound either. :-)
I often get this amidst the output:
*** internal error: mcalloc() called with zero nbytes
In this case I used the dssi4cs.csd file, which is included in the latest
manual (5.13) and the latest csound as well. The release version from
sourceforge.net. So what is this trouble. Sometimes it works, but I can't see
any reason behind it. I tried it with several plugins and some give me output
as I expect and some don't. I can't seem to assign any values to the control
ports. Or even if I completely leave the control ports to their own devices, I
get the same warning, that you can see above.
I've tried it with rtaudio and with wav rendering alike, so it can't be
that. Is the dssi4cs support still maintained, or might it be, that I'm using
a part, which just sits there unnoticed? Can anyone please help me out a bit?
   Kindly yours
            Julien
