Just got mine last night, was at the Starbucks Jr in the Barnes & Noble to get started right in on it. This book will dovetail very well with The Csound Book and all the other books I have. Plus "The Art and Science of Sound Recording" by Alan Parsons (of the Alan Parsons Project) I got at NAMM from Parsons a couple weeks ago. A lot of studying to do. This is better than university, at least here. We don't have many classes for this sort of thing here. Half to go north to UC Stanford and CCRMA for this sort of thing. Enjoy, cheers, -Partev ===================================================== --- peimankhosravi@gmail.com wrote: From: peiman khosravi |

I received my copy yesterday. This book is amazing! I get the same excitement as I had when I first got the csound book. Thanks Peiman On 1 February 2011 16:36, Partev Barr Sarkissian |

Yeah I just recently got mine as well. A lot of the material hasn't been covered outside private class materials from expensive computer science courses. On Tue, Feb 8, 2011 at 10:05 AM, peiman khosravi |

Me either. I've received mine three weeks ago and it's a wonderful companion of the Csound book. In fact, it completes my « trilogy » with the BasicSynth book (http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/basicsynth/4190205). Not sure if it was relayed - but some of the authors might find it cool to know. During his keynote at the FAST festival at MIT this weekend, Max Mathews took a few minutes to talk about how amazing it is and how lucky we all are to have it available to us. There was an actual 'gasp' from the audience when Dr. B explained that it was 3000 pages of information (including the DVD). Again, congrats to all.

Hi, Given the wealth of information contained in the book, I'm considering buying it. I'm most interested in the "Audio Programming in C" chapter by Richard Dobson, but given the generic title of the chapter I'm a little unsure what exactly it contains. Would somebody who has the book mind giving me a couple of keywords and/or topics?
Thanks, Alex
