Subject[Csnd] Update: Enhanced UI for Android Csound5 and 6
Announcing updated Android apps with enhanced user interfaces for both
Csound5 (based on CS5.19) and Csound6 (based on CS6.01). They are
targeted at tablets rather than smartphones.

The CS5.19-based app is now called Csound5a.apk; the CS6.01 app is named
Csound6a.apk. They closely parallel CsoundApp-5.19.apk, and the 6.01 version
of Csound6.apk. *All four apps can now coexist on the same device.*

The enhanced apps (with full descriptions) are downloadable at:
http://www.arthunkins.com/misc.htm .

Taking advantage of 7" and larger tablet displays, the UI's feature 9
sliders and 12 buttons, while eliminating the trackpad. The idea was to more
closely approximate the typical MIDI controller (without keyboard) -
hopefully allowing compositions for MIDI controllers to be more fully
transcribed for Android devices. Indeed I have done alternate versions of
both my "Spiritus Sanctus" and "Spiritus Sanctus 2" for these enhanced UI's
(see the top of list at http://www.arthunkins.com ). One uses 8 sliders, the
other the full complement of sliders and buttons.

Question: Would it be appropriate and helpful for these apps to be hosted at
Sourceforge?

Feedback is welcome.

Thanks for this, Art. Why don’t you set up your own sourceforge or github project to host them (like other frontends such as Blue, Cabbage, CsoundQt),
we can then point to your project from the main Csound information sites.
