Of possible interest to Csounders using MIDI controllers for real-time performance, here's a small project I've just completed. If you're faced with the dilemma of wanting to perform a Csound piece with a MIDI controller that is incompatible, you've got two options: 1) Use orchestra macros that allow the performer to adapt the piece to his/her controller (and many others); or 2) Program the controller to adapt to your piece. This article explores the second option, using (Windows) MIDIOx for the *very* incompatible MX20ic controller. My thumbnail description (from website): Using MIDIOx, shows how to use the MS20ic as a MIDI keyboard, and as a general purpose controller bank. Includes 6 MIDIOx remapping files, and a MIDI map of the MS20ic. Especially for Windows. The link to all materials: http://arthunkins.com/articles.htm It's at the top of the list. Art Hunkins |
