First of all - thanks to whoever (perhaps Hlodver?) made printks print to console in Csound IDE. Solved my problem. (I assume the fix applies to any "print to screen" opcode as well.)

I did notice one anomaly, which has been on my mind for some time. It deals with the "\\r" character as printed to the console in diverse platforms/situations.

In some platforms, such as in Windows 10 (Csound 6.15), "\\r" acts properly; OTOH in all versions of Android Csound (at least from 6.01 up) as well as Csound IDE (7.00), it does a newline instead (= "\\n").

Is this a platform issue, or a Csound version issue?

I'd really like "\\r" to function as intended, especially in Csound 7 and the IDE. Or is this out of Csound's control? (I can live with things as they are, but OTOH....)

Please disregard my previous request for info regarding "\\r" in Csound IDE. ChatGPT guided me through experimentation showing \\r couldn't work with IDE's console. I'll be resigned to repeated lines of printks rather than overprints (as I had hoped).

(Seems a bit strange to me that \\r works with the Windows console and not IDE. I assume the console implementation is just different.)
