Yes, effectively. you are right.
Csound builds  was for x86_64 and the libraries  in macports built for arm64.

i tried the arch option in cmakeCache.Txt
Arm64, without success.

so my question:

how to build csound for arm64 with macports (2.6.12)?
i will report to macport than their 6.18 version does not built too.

I think without any options to set it any different, on arm64 CMake will build it for that architecture. So just don't set the architecture and you are ok. Start a new build directory to make sure.

i found the problem.
i am running a soft build
on i386:
Arch
I386!

without it  csound build perfectly.
