Thank you for sharing the news about John ffitch. I really appreciate being able to learn about Csound and audio programming from you. Csound has been and continues to be a source of joy for me, and I wanted to share some of that joy with all of you. Here is a YouTube video where I demonstrate several programs where I take Csound algorithms and implement them in openFrameworks, for fun. Csound is a fantastic pedagogical tool, and perhaps part of why I wanted to share this is to contribute in small part to that legacy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gA3c2tra5-s Featured in the video are several opcodes including pvsdemix, vco2, reverbsc, reson, and statevar. While news of John's passing is sad, it's a time to reflect and reconnect. I hope sharing this sparks an idea, some joy, or a new experience that improves your life even in a small way. Thank you for all you do! Best regards, David |

Hello David, Great to hear from you and to see and hear some of this wonderful Csound work. - and your visualizers and games are quite cool, too. Good luck with your music, coding, following, and work. There is still time for you to package some of these projects into a paper and submit it to the International Csound Conference. It would be great to see you in Italy in October. Thanks for everything. Thanks for sharing. Take care. - Dr.B Dr. Richard Boulanger Professor Electronic Production and Design Berklee College of Music Professional Writing & Technology Division On Tue, Jun 30, 2026 at 8:43 PM Dr. David Akbari <dakbari@gmail.com> wrote:
