Here's my latest, as described at the top of my composition list at
http://arthunkins.com . (There you'll find complete info - all performance materials and two audio demos (via "autoplay"). In case Csound looks fairly peripheral (and in a larger sense it is), this work can be expressed in Csound via 49 .csd files - all
variations on the "framework for improvisation."
A CARILLON FOR CREATION (2025) for 24+ bell carillon or set of similar-sounding bells (range E3-G5)
Alternatively for one-bell per performer ensemble, other carillon/bell-like instruments (e.g., organ chime/bells, handbell choir), single or multiple bell samples played by computer or Android technology, as well as automated versions including both realtime carillon and computerized (Csound) bell samples. Some require MIDI controller with up to 12 keys/buttons/pads. Duration: indeterminate

Hello Art,
it's interesting how the bells sometimes work as additive synthesizers, when
they chime together. The longer version has a nice symmetry as well in the
form.
Best wishes,
Jeanette

Jeanette -
I'd not thought of that, nor was it intended (indeed it was to be avoided in performance.)
And yet, "serendipitous synchronicity"! An idea for another piece perhaps?
Bells are so wonderful. They can elicit all kinds of thoughts and feelings. I've used them in a number of my pieces.
