I'm happy to report that I will be releasing a new double CD in 2020 on the XI label (https://xirecords.org/). Not making any big announcements anywhere else this early in the process, but I figure it would be ok to mention it here. It's hopefully notable for this list because Csound will be a central part of the record. The main piece, Involution, uses Csound as the lead element (in the form of my Implication Organ instrument, running real-time on RPi) used in combination with a modular synth system, linked by MIDI. The other piece will be Hexany Permutations, which is entirely Csound. This piece already has a download-only Bandcamp release (https://mysterybear.bandcamp.com/album/hexany-permutations), but for the CD, I will re-render it with some slight differences. I hope everyone is having a good holiday season. Best wishes for a happy new year, hopefully a better one for all. |
