Thanks Jeanette. Yes, strong 80's movies influence here for sure. It thought it sounded a little more "horror" than sci-fi but there's a pretty big crossover between the two genres, especially the dark sci-fi/horror cinematic music from the 80's, for example The Thing. Of course our interpretation is largely based on personal experience.
