https://youtu.be/Wq-A6LYbXTQ The 3 tracks are all instruments utilizing the wterrain opcode with a simple sine wave and applying Grandi's Rose, a 2D algebraic curve. https://mathcurve.com/courbes2d/rosace/rosace.shtml For anyone interested, I plotted the equation here. You can animate it using slider a or simply drag the slider around (I think I shared it once previously). https://www.desmos.com/calculator/mpuoy2hn3y The visuals were rendered with JavaScript and HTML in a browser and screencapped. The graphics use a variation of Grandi's Rose - the Maurer Rose - which essentially connects points inside the 2D curve with lines. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maurer_rose This is somewhat of a preview, I plan on doing an extended version When time permits as the possible variations of the visuals are almost endless so I could only choose a few examples. And the audio could probably use some sub-bass and a little more contrast. It would make an ideal Web composition but unfortunately my skills in that area just aren't up to par yet. But the possibility for both the visuals and the audio to be interactively tweaked by a user is intriguing. Hi Scott! Feb 4 2023, Scott Daughtrey has written: > https://youtu.be/Wq-A6LYbXTQ Thanks for shariing this piece. Especially the intro and outro are very cinematic and have left a strong impression. Your approach to and familiarity with wterrain are quite intriguing and deep. You really don't let up. Also thanks for sharing the scale and your thoughts. In my ears this piece marks a lovely fusion of film soundtrack and Berlin school synth music. Just my impression and association. Take it from me: it's a combination I enjoyed.
