Subject[Csnd] New track - Rishikesh Morning Bliss
The track was recorded in Rishikesh with friend Ananda
He plays Bansuri and I'm playing duduk in the track,

It was recorded live on the grass on Zoom and then I've
added Csound drone and reverb to the track!

Hope you enjoy the track!
It's very peaceful and calm

Hey hey Anton,
this is a beautiful track. I can empathise with the title. Lovely,
constrained playing there. Though I wonder which is the bansuri and
which the duduk. :) From a Csound point of view, I like the reverb. What
did you use: algorithmic or convolution based?

On a different level the recording is interesting: the calm playing in
the foreground, contrasted to the background of, possibly the first,
cars and blaring horns. This city must have an interesting atmosphere.
Looking at the basics on Wiki, it sounds rather densely populated and
still the performance is so calm. Perhaps its nickname has something to
answer for there? :)

Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed that very much, especially in the
approaching west European autumn.

Best wishes,

Jeanette

yes, that's excellent ...

definitely room in the world for more csound / bansuri crossover ... the
ambience of the location recording adds a nice touch ...

Lovely track !

Every morning here I wake between 5 and 6 AM and do my ch'i kung and
t'ai chi to the sound of ahir bhairav played on the bansuri. Such a
peaceful way to start the day. However, I might now have to start it
with the sound of the bansuri plus the sound of the duduk. :)

Thank you for sharing.

Best,

dp

Thanks for feedback :)

@Jeanette & Tim

I've used reverbsc with large hall settings. Duduk sounds more like saxophone, bansuri
has more even sound. Duduk plays first in the track then Bansuri follows.

Yes, the city is rather noisy there are many bikes and they use clacsons often
to get their way through the crowded road. Also the city is kind of living zoo.
It has people, two sorts of monkeys, dogs, cows, donkeys - lot's creatures
We recorded a bit in the hill, but the main road is still present at the background.

@Dave

Thanks! a bit of Bilaval for you

@John

Yes we can hear that too in the Rishikesh
I guess in the mid day if we came closer to the main road.

It's interesting to note how the ambient music was present in the
indian classical tradition long before the computer and affordable synths era.
In the form of the first part of the raga. It's called alap when soloist is deliberately
plays without rythmic structure. Trying to create a single moment presence atmosphere
