This was not a winning entry, but even so, as it's a Csound piece, I thought I'd share the CSD for my entry in the UnTwelve composers competition. So, if you have the time, render the attached. Or you can hear a rendered version on the competition page: https://untwelve.org/competition/2018 I'm really chuffed, and a little surprised, 'The Pungent Garden' was deemed worthy enough to be in 'The Winner's Circle', because I think you'll agree there's some really excellent pieces there. Thanks for sharing this. It's always good to see a different approach in creating a piece like this. I really enjoyed the first half. ----------------------------------------------------- Michael Gogins Irreducible Productions http://michaelgogins.tumblr.com Michael dot Gogins at gmail dot com On Sat, Oct 13, 2018 at 11:25 AM thorin kerr |

Thorin, WOW !!! Like WOW !!! This is really beautiful - and amazing and inspiring code!!! Thanks so much for writing it and for sharing it with us. Can't wait to share this with my students in a few weeks. I am sure that it will blow them away - as it has me. Now... I am not sure that what I am hearing is a "pungent'" garden - rather a fragrent, radient, and brilliant one. Oh, you're really too kind. Thank you. Well... I tried putting flies in the garden. I suppose a fragrant garden will still attract flies. Thorin On Fri, 1 Mar. 2019, 10:58 am Dr. Richard Boulanger, <rboulanger@berklee.edu> wrote:

You take us on a wonderful journey in the piece. You are a great story teller - and... you have done it generatively and algorithmically - that's especially impressive and noteworthy to me! - looking forward to more of your work in this area Thorin.
