I noticed that the default new user role for the Csound Showcase was
did not include the right to post new pieces. Many apologies! This has
has now been fixed.

New users now automatically are authors with the authority to post new
pieces and to edit them. The same authority has been given to every
existing user.

So please, give it another look and try posting some pieces or examples!

The Play button doesn't work on Firefox. Apparently it's because the
'event' object is not global. Could you change it to

The play button works here but the sliders in the HTML interface for
the piece are all like 5 pixels wide.

The Play Button now works. But I'm seeing the same behavior that Steven described. I am testing with "Message from Another Planet, version 2". The style sheet might need an input[type=range]::-moz-range-thumb.

Also, if I change the frequency spread factor to 0 in that piece I get a NaN error and it crashes.

Odd... I will take a look at the style sheet. But which piece are you
talking about?

I tried with the one Guillermo mentioned and Iain's Haiku I.  Both had
same sizing for sliders.  (Probably easiest to install Firefox there
to see the issue?)

no, i meant in the first page, the play button didn't do anything and
didn't take me to the csd player.

but it works now, so i guess it was just that the browser had an older
version in the cache.

Regarding http://csound-showcase.com, I have done some work on my
style sheets and tested on Chrome and Firefox. I would appreciate
comments. I think more work is needed on the styles but at least the
pieces are playable on both Chrome and Firefox.

After thinking about it, I removed the star rating system as being not
quite appropriate for the number of posts that currently exist or
might exist in the near to medium term. If I feel the need I will add
a "highlights" section for newcomers.

Hi Michael,

I still find the site very hard to navigate due to the display of
whole CSDs. I had to scroll some 20 to 30 times to get past Electric
Priest to see what entries came next on the main page. I also do not
see a complete list of entries.  I had to type in "McCurdy" (using
"Iain" did not work) in the search box to find the Haiku I.1 entry.
(The "Projects Using Csound" page (http://csound.com/projects.html)
makes it easy to see the different entries, for example.)
