Duduks and Ouds,... embarrassing, Armenian-American and I don't play either one. I never could handle reeded woodwinds Don't know the bansuri. NAMM Anaheim is coming up, I guess I'll be trying a duduk at some point. Keep going by the booth every year and passing on playing one. Guess I'm committed now. I think the duduk is the one that starts out the piece. Sounds like across between a clarinet and oboe. Smoother than an oboe, harsher than a clarinet. Bansuri looks similar to the bamboo flutes I used to have, or the Shakuhachi that I do have. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duduk https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bansuri ... wiki entries for those who are curious. Duduks and woodwinds from Asia have a wonderful tone. I enjoy dabbling at them. The drone,... running a Csound file? This "Rishikesh Morning Bliss" is quite wonderful. Very good. -PBS ====================== --- julien@MAIL.UPB.DE wrote: From: "Jeanette C." |

@Partev Duduk is really hard to play. I play several types of ethnic flutes. and duduk is one of the hardest I have to admit. It takes lot of power to play it. But be patient and you'll handle it! 2018-01-03 1:32 GMT+03:00 Anton Kholomiov <anton.kholomiov@gmail.com>:
