I will try to make the audio driver in the Csound for Android app user
configurable: OpenSL ES, AAudio, or automatically chosen by the Oboe
driver.

If you uninstalled the older app, that would not be a problem.

Check your preferences for the Csound app in the phone settings, and
give both permissions.

By default, only files in the SDCard/csd and /html directories are
usable (thanks to a new Android security policy).
