Isn't the class of a sound more accurately defined by the score? I seek a numerical method to define the palette of my sounds, only later to discover the canvas. Why all this dashing about with sine waves? The whole thing about art is that it defies the reductive explanation. So perhaps Csound wasn't my artist's tool any more than the wood-lathe and splines of my luthier? (no numbers or special characters have been harmed in the production of this musing).
