I'm not sure actually, I try to look for application areas where the potential customers don't really know (yet) that they need customized audio, and there's also a lot of VR-type simulators and such in both marine, petroleum, and exhibitions/museums. It seems that the standards have not quite been set as to what toolboxes these applications should use, and some of them have been moving from SGI to Linux or Win during the last years (decade maybe). Also they require special processing, or spatialisation, or special interfaces because of (yet) other custom interfaces, and/or they need sound design. Audio has not been a priority, so it seems one have to mention it to the right (adventurous) people many times now and then over a long time. And then something might start to happen. I've also gotten many of my projects of this type via Soundscape Studios in Trondheim (http://soundscape-studios.no/). They specialize in doing custom solutions for both art and industry and CEO Robin knows a lot of people in different places.
