Oh, I see. It's fine with me, but is it going to interfere with its internal workings if I keep my own copy this way? The thing is I like the option to load .csd files dynamically, and Pd's [openpanel] object returns a full path. One use for such a thing would be to switch between two .csd files, the path to each stored in a [symbol], banging whichever one I want. What I was doing before was using two different csoundapi~ objects, and reloading and crossfading whenever I edited one, for something like live coding. I can see the benefit of the curdir->s_name solution, for portability of Pd files (especially relevant to me writing about it), but I don't know any way to change openpanel's full path output to relative. I'll ask the Pd list. -Chuckk On 8/3/07, Victor Lazzarini wrote: > > But that changes the behaviour of csoundapi~. I have > done that following advice by Julian Peterson on how > PD searches path.
