Was this problem solved ? I keep searching thru my email archives, but can not find a follow-up to this email from Richard. I ran into the same problem today, using sfplay in a live setup. It seems the audio output of sfplay is some 10000000000 times louder in csound 5.05 than it was in csound 5.04. And even when scaling the output down to a level where it does not blow up, the sound is still distorted (maybe this is the result of bit-reduction due to the extreme amplitude modification).
