Yes, there is a new frontend with similar functionality to
Winsound but also a few additonal features; it is in a
reasonably stable and usable state on Win32 now. If you can
wait a week or so, it will be included with the 5.02 release
so no compiling should be needed.
Of course, you can also try CsoundVST that can be found in
already existing Csound 5 releases.
